I took some pictures of our E. coli from biology lab class yesterday, because we were done with the module and were throwing them away (click for a better view):
This is called "patching," when you put a bunch of different strains on a grid and see which ones grow, depending on what's on the petri dish. I think it's pretty obvious which ones have grown. Ew! Biology is pretty gross, isn't it?

I've decided to try out a new thing: putting up both an English and Turkish version of almost every post I make from now on. We'll see how long I can keep it up...
I don't really like Fridays. I always have more homework due on Fridays than I think, so I usually wake up early to finish it up. There's also just about no free time in the evenings.
This was what my schedule was yesterday:
11am-5pm: class
6pm-7pm: shower and get dressed
7pm-8pm:
axe dinner
8pm-10pm:
calder quartet concert (they were really good!)
10pm-midnight:
savetfp coffeehouse event
Yeah, all I managed to do in that one-hour break was check my mail. All Fridays are pretty much like this. I used to be happy on Thursday nights, because Friday was the last weekday, but now I'm horrified of them. But they're fun.
Speaking of which, tomorrow's pretty busy, too.

I've been entertaining the idea of combining my Turkish and English blogs so that there is just one blog with some entries Turkish and others English. I think it'd portray me more completely as a bilingual person; some things I can only express in one language only, and I like how it'd be varied and interesting.
I think I'd be happier with it combined; sometimes I don't post just because I don't want to go through the trouble of deciding which item I should post on which blog. Gotta make it even, you know.

hair
Remember the previous post about how it'd be cool to dye my hair magenta? Well, I came up with a solution that I'd actually
do... I got the tips of my hair dyed burgundy! It's very subtle, so I reeally like how it turned out:
The best part about the whole ordeal is that I don't regret it! I like it a lot. It'll be gone in my next haircut anyway.
