Today was miraculous, because I took care of all the rest of my prom accesories (purse, shawl, jewelry) in one day. It had taken me longer to find a pair of shoes! I guess I'm sort of fed up with looking for stuff. Either that, or I've gotten better at searching for good products. Last night, as you can understand from my delirious posts, I was up until 3:30 catching up on all of this semester's Spanish work. Now I have to worry about a final project, so yippee. Crap, though! I hope I get good grades on the papers I wrote. I don't know how good my essays were, considering I wrote three analytical ones in the past 24 hours. Right now I'm in denial about not needing to do any more work (except the final essay). It was fun stuff, and now I'm really tired. I hope to go to bed early, but you know me. I probably won't go to bed until midnight again! I sure hope I do. Today I watched another stressful episode of Biz Size Asik Olduk....... words can't describe what I feel about the show. It goes something like this: a;kldj;aldkfjfffff!! adk;adjfdddaaaahdhhwhw!!!?! There you go. I can't wait until next Tuesday!! Okay um. I should have gotten my ears pierced a long time ago, and now I regret it, because nobody has clip-on earrings. Well there are, like, five. I managed to find myself a nice pair, though. Anyway. Whenever I have Spanish to do, I feel this special high of wanting to live life to its fullest, and therefore I download music. I want to talk about a lot of things. I can't remember what they are, now, but perhaps they will come to me the next time I have to pull a semi all-nighter. All I know is that there's this bad feeling inside of me, like I have stories inside of me to tell, but I can't find a reliable medium to tell them through. Comics, yeah right, and I'm a horrible writer. Don't even think of me as a playwright. I guess I'm doomed to try and throw the senseless fiction out of my head. What a shame, it took me years to put together. posted by Melike at 00:21

Geez, I jammed my printer pretty bad. *forcefully fishes ripped shreds of paper out of the clutches of her printer with a pair of tweezers* Okay, time to go to sleep. posted by Melike at 06:25

Okay, here are the amazing pigeon pictures:
Only that one pigeon was daring enough to come to our hands. This photo has captured three pigeons who are in the process of walking, and I think the way they look while their feet are in mid-air is hilarious.
A masterfully captured shot by yours truly; notice the piece of bread flying in the air. Those damn pigeons are too funny. That one pigeon on the right looks like he's falling backwards!!
Reminds me of a cocktail party. So yeah, average pigeons going on with their daily lives.
AREn"T PIGEONS AMAIZNG!!!
edit: My uncle just called me a bird paparazzi... hehehe! posted by Melike at 02:36
These past few days I've been eating a lot, but only because the events I've gone to are accompanied by food, and the food is sort of what gives the event its character. Friday I found out about a Spanish potluck that we had to go to, and I was sort of peeved because I already had plans. Now they are ruined, boohoo. Oh well, I'm sure we'll do all the stuff we planned sometime later. Yesterday we (the Madrigal girls) had to go to Aileen's house to do a Madrigal thing (our little goodbye song). I so don't want a solo, but it's tradition, so we have to. Darn! Aileen has the craziest dog. Aileen makes weird noises, and she starts running up and down the room and making weird noises. She goes crazy, it's great. Aileen imitates how the dog wipes her butt on the floor, like Sam's dog does (but Sam hadn't done an imitation). Then Cassie read us passages from a Lizzie Mcguire book in a very good valley girl voice while we were waiting for the others to come over. I asked them to call me when they were planning on seeing that movie. I also played part of Clair de Lune for Cassie because she loves that piece. I love it too, but I'd rather not perform it in the upcoming recital. Then Nabel took me to her house to have dinner with her and watch Sneakers. The dinner was really good, and Amy made it in front of my eyes. It was a cauliflower noodle dish with garlic and cheese. We also had corn on the cob, and her dad cut the corn into kernels for me because earlier I had remarked that I had braces. Aw.. I think that made my day. The movie was really good. Amy was amused by how scared I get at the suspenseful parts. Blah blah blah. So today I went to the T-tones barbecue. Steven kept pouring lighter fluid into the grill and watching the flames go up. We turned a bun into charcoal and kept tossing cheese into the flames. Then we prank called people and played flamenco to their answering machines. James Costello and Steven played guitars while everyone clapped in tempo and James did some flamenco singing and people screamed and yelled out random Spanish phrases. Then Steven started doing a Mexican accent and kept saying, "Kay, you ready, par'ner? Le's go!" Then they tried to have a rehearsal, and noticed that they sucked. They strategically planned where the pelvic thrust would be. They've decided totheir program with their flamenco music in honor of today. Then we went to the backyard and played some more with the lighter fluid and set paper plates on fire. My next stop was Sam's little party with his gamer friends. Imagine the whole first floor of his house filled with about 15-20 computers, all hooked up together in a network. Chips, coke, people playing everywhere. It was gamers' heaven. I played Soul Calibur and kicked some ass (even Eric's sometimes) and we had pizza. It was so great, and I was the only girl there. Sam's dog Katie tried to climb into my lap while I was playing. She's so cute. posted by Melike at 00:07

I've apparently caught some hilarious pigeon action on film. Actually it's not that funny, but I did discover today, when my mom got the pictures back, that pigeons look funny when they're caught mid-walking. The foot looks so funny when it's in the air. Another picture was taken just as a pigeon was tossing a big piece of bread into the air. I laughed so hard I cried. Pigeons are the best. posted by Melike at 03:20
