I was thinking that instead of getting a nose piercing, I'd get one of those magnetic stud earrings to put on my nose. I looked at the ones in Claire's, but I thought they were too big. After a whole week of being lazy, I finally started drawing some pages for my comic. I wish it wouldn't be so slow, but I like the results. I had sketched about two pages during the fall semester. Last night I sketched an additional page, and inked and shaded one of the pages. Hopefully I'll pick up the speed and draw many more. I'm thinking of putting them up all at once at the end of January, so it'll look like I did a lot of work. Of course, reading it all will take around 10 minutes at the most. ah, the olden choir days!
Today, my mom and I were shopping on 3rd street, when I decided to call Christa to hang out with her. It turned out that 10 minutes later, people from our high school choir were meeting up to carol, so a few other alums and I decided to join them. It was fun! We caroled for two hours, though, so we got kind of tired by the end. Then, four other choir guys and I went out to dinner and saw The Incredibles. It was such a coincidence that none of us had seen it before. Anyway, the dinner conversation was so funny I cried. Of course, we talked about whatever guys talk about. Don't you hate the feeling when you're kind of lonely so you're hanging out with a friend, and you say something and the friend thinks she understands perfectly, but she's not even close? Then you say, "Actually, no, that's not what I meant..." and they keep guessing and guessing, making you even more disappointed in the time you're "wasting" on them. Of course, that time isn't wasted, but it feels like it at the time. What a letdown! Sometimes you just want somebody to understand... Dude, this entry and the previous one both sound like I'm bitter with people, but I'm fine. posted by Melike at 03:51
