Nucleic Acids

In order for life to go on for generations, organisms need to transmit genetic material to the next generation. Somehow this information needs to be stored somewhere, and be easy to duplicate during reproduction. DNA and RNA have the perfect structure for governing the cell (telling it what molecules to make and how) and are practical to duplicate.

This whole section has always been my favorite to explain. Let's see if I'll do it well this time.
